Digital Media VIP on Facebook and also on Linkedin.com

As many of you know - 200 plus of us have gathered on a group at Facebook called Digital Media VIP. That's a MicroGroup and doesn't include other members who have attended events are part of the group, etc. Sign into Facebook - go to the groups on the left or search for digital media vip. Add yourself to the group. For some reason, I have a fan page for the Digital Media VIP Group on Facebook. That's not a neccesity, but I'll post news on the fan page as well as the group. The group will have the information not for the public.
A big thanks to our find friends at Microsoft Silverlight for the gracious Microsoft Wynn Suite at NAB complete with beverages and food for our get together! Thanks Steve! He said he'd be glad to do these at other events, and well, that's great news of a fellow member. Our members do meet the Microsoft profile, so hopefully, it's a win-win for all digital media executives. Tom - the captain also welcomes us to his yacht club for another event.
For those members who are not on Facebook Group, by request, I've added a group under linkedin.com. You can go to my profile and click to join. Alternatively, you can click on the logo of any other member. The point to this is to be where you are not force you to join a mailing list or another social network. This group will simply inform of get togethers. I put it up yesterday so without promotion there's a handful. It's a convenience factor, but linkedin.com has its growing pains with groups.

Linkedin.com has limited support for groups and says they are working on their directory. Click to my linked in entry and click on the logo of the group on the bottom of my page if you can't find it by search.
There are also a few other groups of members on specific social networks. If you are on a social network other than these two, let me know - we may already have a group there. Otherwise, I can put up a page for your convenience. I'm not a fan of forcing people to be part of this social network or that social network, the goal again is to communicate with our executives where they are, that is convenient to them.
See you on the Net!
Peggy
